Sections: K-3, K-5, K-12 Under 1000, K-12 Open
  5-round Swiss, Game in 30 min. for K-3 & K-5
  4-round Swiss, Game in 45 min. for K-12 sections

Trophies: Top 10 players in each of K-3, K-5 sections
                 Top 7 players in K-12 Under 1000
                 Top 5 players in K-12 Open
Team Trophies: Top 3 teams in each of K-3, K-5
                            Top 2 teams in K-12 Under 1000
                            Top team in K-12 Open
Team scores are from top 3 players from same school in a section.

Entry fee:  $14 if postmarked by Mon., Oct. 10
                  $25 on site.

Note to parents: Players must be supervised.  No drop-offs.

Registration: 7:45 - 8:30 am
Advance registration is encouraged.
Registration ends at 8:30 am sharp.  Those not registered by 8:30 will have first round 1/2-point byes.

Round Times
  K-3 and K-5:  9:15, 10:30, 11:45, 1:15, 2:30
  K-12 sections:  9:15, 11:00, 1:00, 2:45
One 1/2-point bye is allowed.  A bye for round 4 or 5 must be requested before round 2.

Requirements: Open to all K-12 students.
                          USCF membership is required.

Tournament pre-registration:
1. Fill out the attached entry form.
2. Attach a check made payable to:  TASCA

Please bring sets and clocks if you have them.

Parking: The main parking lot will be in use, so please park near the baseball field in the back, off of Sunrise Ln.  Follow the "Chess Parking" signs.

Food (pizza, soft drinks, etc.) will be sold at the tournament site.

From Raleigh:
  * Take I-40 W.
  * Take the US-15/501 exit (# 270) toward Chapel Hill (0.25 mile)
  * Turn left onto US-15/501 South (1.3 miles)
  * Turn right onto Erwin Rd. (0.5 mile)
  * Turn left onto Weaver Dairy Rd. (1.1 miles)

From Greensboro:
  * Take I-40 E.
  * Take the NC-86 exit (exit # 266) toward Chapel Hill (0.3 mile)
  * Turn right onto NC-86 (0.45 mile)
  * Turn left onto Weaver Dairy Rd. (1.6 miles)

From Franklin Street/Chapel Hill:
  * Go Northeast on E. Franklin St. toward Ephesus Church Rd.
  * E. Franklin St. becomes US-15/501 N. (0.2 mile)
  * Turn left onto Erwin Rd. (0.55 mile)
  * Turn left onto Weaver Dairy Rd. (1.1 miles)
